The Allied military missions, which were supposed to ensure smooth communication between the Western Allies and the representatives of the Soviet Union behind the Iron Curtain after the end of the war, are a hitherto unknown chapter of contemporary history. Although they had a legal status, the National People's Army tried everything to disrupt and obstruct their work. They even accepted the death of Allied soldiers in the process.
