On her daughter’s last day of elementary school, Sonia, an undocumented mother, promises she will be there to cheer the loudest at graduation. As Lupita nervously navigates her last day of school, Sonia spends the day cleaning motel rooms, unaware that ICE agents are on their way. When she is suddenly detained, her promise collides with a cruel reality, leaving Lupita waiting for a mother who has been taken away.
