In the harem, Gül Ağa stirs conflict and secretly brings the dark seer Yakup Efendi to Hatice, who learns she will bear a son. Meanwhile, the Ottoman forces unite near Belgrade, extracting from a captured knight the location of Layoş in Tolna. Yakup Efendi senses a looming danger around Hürrem—one that, he warns, only blood can resolve.
