Hamburg: Single Martha lovingly looks after the children in her neighborhood, supported by ex-boxer Max. One day, Tommy Skagen, who seems withdrawn, moves into Martha's apartment building with his eight-year-old brother Winnie. Tommy, who studies law during the day, often disappears at night, leaving his brother alone. Illegal mixed martial arts fights take place in the docks below St. Pauli.
