Love does not always arrive the way we expect it to. In Episode 1 of Mujhe Rang De, we meet Agastya, a closeted gay man trying to sustain a relationship that feels safe but incomplete. He is with Meera, even as a quiet distance between them continues to grow. Shikhar, Meera’s closest friend and someone Agastya has known for years, begins to sense that Agastya is carrying a truth he has never been able to voice. As Shikhar starts connecting the dots, Agastya’s carefully constructed world begins to shift. At the same time, Meera, who has felt for a long while that something is wrong, makes the difficult decision to end the relationship. Heartbroken and confused, Agastya turns to Shikhar for support. What begins as comfort slowly turns into connection. Is this just friendship, or the beginning of a love neither of them expected?
