Everyone goes down to San Diego for the annual ""Youth Awareness Conference"" held all around San Diego. Korky meets Tania Sparks and instantly feels a connection with her. Near the end of the trip, Alexis asks Korky why he's been spending all his time with this girl but he tells her he's made a friend and nothing more. Charlotte feels Jason doesn't care about her anymore after he plays a concert at Sea World but she's not allowed backstage by his security. Colby is irritated after feeling like Lucy's toy and is discouraged when he has no one to really dish to her about it so he's forced to confide in a sophmore who tries ditching Colby the entire trip. Anna feels Gretchen uses her when she needs a friend and doesn't really care about Anna at all. Meanwhile, Kalyopie and Gaby go on a tirade yelling at people for not keeping their hotel rooms clean, while Cicely calls Michael and tells her she's moving to New York for four months when her grandfather ""takes a turn for the worse.""
