Reimuel Bisnar
A passionate educator, filmmaker, and creative media practitioner dedicated to empowering young learners through technology, arts, and storytelling. Currently serving as a Teacher II at Pasian National High School, he teaches Senior High School subjects including Media and Information Literacy, Empowerment Technologies, Creative Industries, and Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions. He also serves as the school’s SHS ICT Coordinator and Film Coordinator, guiding students in developing their skills in digital media, filmmaking, and creative production. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology as a Cum Laude and Bachelor of Secondary Education, he combines technical expertise with artistic vision to create meaningful educational and cinematic experiences.
Beyond education, Reimuel Bisnar has gained recognition as an independent filmmaker and mentor whose works have earned awards and official selections in national and international film festivals. His acclaimed short film TIPASI won Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Production Design at the 1st SALIDA de Oro Film Festival, while also becoming an official selection at Nabifilmex 12 and the 3rd Palm City Film Festival in Tagum City. As producer and mentor of Ang Batong Hindi Ibinato, the film was recognized as a winner in the Children Video Makers Category of the SINEBATA 2025 and was selected for the 5th Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as the 1st SALIDA de Oro Film Festival. Other films he mentored and produced, including Gilantaw Ko Ang Wala Na Diay?, daku, Gamay, and Unheard, became official selections at the 10th Sorok Film Festival in Manila. His film Para Kinsa also became an official entry at the 6th CINEGOMA Film Festival in Quezon City and received a Best Film nomination. Through his works, he continues to champion youth empowerment, culture, and socially relevant storytelling rooted in community experiences.
