Amendoim
Amendoim is a Brazilian Caramelo dog known for starring in the Netflix film Caramelo (2025). He was discovered as a stray puppy at just three months old by director Diego Freitas during an extensive search across Brazil for the perfect dog to lead his film, in which Amendoim represents the typical Caramelo dog, a common type of caramel coloured mixed breed dog that has become a cherished national symbol of Brazil.
He was taken in by the production company and trained under the guidance of trainer Luis Estrelas and American animal specialist Mike Miliotti to play the titular role of Caramelo.
