Mario Castro Cobos

Mario César Castro Cobos is a filmmaker and film critic. He founded and directed the Lima Independent Film Festival, as well as the magazines Voyeur and Abre los ojos, and the blog La cinefilia no es patriota (Cinephilia Is Not Patriotic). He also hosted a radio program of the same name on Radio Lima Gris. In addition, he has written for Cronopia, Las sumas voces, Butaca, Mabuse, Godard!, Diario 16, and Buensalvaje. He was a member of film clubs at the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCR), the National Library, the Arcais Cultural Center, the Universidad Científica del Sur, the Universidad Cayetano Heredia, and the Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades. He recently premiered his fourth feature film.
