Patricio Suarez
Patricio Suárez was born in San Nicolás, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. He studied filmmaking at CIEVYC (Center for Research in Film and Visual Arts) in Buenos Aires and film directing at CECC (Centre for Cinematographic Studies of Catalonia) in Spain. He has developed cultural documentaries, television series, and web documentaries. Among his most notable works are Leituras (2015), a portrait of Angola’s most influential writers, and Mamá Muxima (2014), a feature-length documentary about the Virgin of the town of Muxima (Angola). He returns to his home province to make Hombre en la llanura (Man in the Plain), his first feature film.
